Our sunglass story began in 2007 when our first brick-and-mortar storefront, Shades, opened in Stone Harbor, New Jersey. Shades quickly became an integral part of the seasonal community, leading to the expansion of over ten locations across the Jersey Shore, Delaware, Florida, and California. Throughout our 18 years of owning, operating, and expanding retail locations, we became experts at delivering top-notch customer service all while offering the largest, best-selling assortment of sunglasses. The expansion of Shades helped our father and son team focus on the elements of owning a business they were most passionate about: sharing a best-selling product assortment with more of the world and giving back to our communities. With dreams to reach a bigger audience through an e-commerce platform and further our philanthropic endeavors, Hero Sunglasses was born. The Hero Perfect Fit Promise is simple and straightforward. Wear your sunglasses for 30 days. If you don’t love them, for whatever reason, initiate an exchange and try out an alternative pair, as many times as it takes to find your perfect fit!

We pride ourselves on service and selection, but that shouldn’t come at the expense of paying a higher price at checkout. If you see a lower price on an identical item, we will match the advertised price. Send us an email, text, or live chat, and we will provide you with a code to match the difference! 

Hero Sunglasses has sole discretion in determining an “Authorized Reseller.”

Any order can be returned within 30 days of purchase, for a full refund, as long as the product has gone unworn and is returned in original packaging. Every frame we ship has a Hero Perfect Fit Promise tag on it. If the seal is broken, the frame is considered used or worn, and is no longer eligible for a full refund. 

If the seal is broken, you still qualify under the Hero Perfect Fit Promise. The Hero Perfect Fit Promise is simple and straightforward. Wear your sunglasses for 30 days. If you don’t love them, for whatever reason, initiate an exchange and try out an alternative pair, as many times as it takes to find your perfect fit!

To exchange through the hero perfect fit promise, the sunglasses must be without: scratches, scuffs, dents, damages or visible signs of wear & tear.

Our 365 Day Warranty is simple and straightforward. Here’s how it works: If a frame you purchased from Hero Sunglasses is damaged or destroyed, you can send it back to us within 365 days of purchase and we’ll give you a 50% off discount code to purchase a new pair.

• Product must be sent back to us in advance of receiving the discount code.
• All Maui Jim claims are handled directly through Maui Jim Inc. 
• In the event you experience a manufacturer’s defect within the time period your manufacturer’s warranty is still valid, please reach out to the brand directly for a typically cost-free replacement.

Shipping & Delivery Carriers

All orders will ship from our distribution center within 1-2 business days and will ship free via USPS Ground Advantage (estimated delivery time of 3-5 business days).

If you require expedited shipping on your order, next day shipping is available for purchase. For expedited shipping, please select UPS Next Day Air upon checkout (estimated delivery time of 1 business day.) Calculated fees will be applied to your purchase.

Shipping Protection Plan

We understand that your order is important to you, and we want to ensure that it reaches you in perfect condition. That’s why we offer our Shipping Protection Plan for just $7.99 upon checkout. This optional plan provides you with added peace of mind by safeguarding your order against potential issues during the shipping process.

What’s covered: Our shipping Protection Plan covers your order against damage, loss, or theft that may occur during the shipping and delivery process. Whether your package encounters rough handling, gets misplaced, or experiences an unfortunate incident, this protection plan has you covered.

How it works: By opting for the Shipping Protection plan, you are taking a proactive step to protect your purchase. If an issue arises during shipping and your order is damaged, lost or stolen, simply contact us via email at support@herosunglasses.com within 48 hours of the carrier provided delivery date.

Claims process: In the event of an issue, we are committed to providing a quick and efficient resolution. Our claims process is straightforward and ensures you are informed each step of the way. If your product(s) were not received in the manner they were intended to be received, due to a shipping and/or delivery issue, we will provide you with a replacement at no additional cost to you.

It is important to note that Hero Sunglasses is not liable for any damage, loss or theft during the shipping process if the Shipping Protection Plan is not purchased. By opting out of this plan, you are taking responsibility for the safe arrival of your order.
